Are you using a specific program for your digital scrapbooking? I’ve wanted to get into it for a while but haven’t taken the plunge on any sites or programs because I don’t have any recommendations from other people on what they use/like.

I am using a company called Blurb (blurb.com). You download their software, create your pages and add your photos, and then upload the book to their website. You then order it through their site, they print it, and mail it to you. The prices are pretty good. I did a lot of research on different companies and gave them a shot. I was very happy with the first one I had printed. There were a few mistakes, but most of those were on my end. I’m waiting for my second one to arrive. If you decide to go with them, do a search for coupon codes. Last time I got $10 off my order, and this time I got free shipping.

One of the things I like about them is that since you download their software to your computer, you can work on it even when you’re not online.

Thanks for the information! $10 off the order?!? They must be pretty expensive pages!

A good friend of mine does “real life” scrapbooking, but since I’m more of a jpeg/computer girl I’m thinking that digital scrapbooking is the way to go. And the downloadable software is great!

Do they have a lot of free templates to use?

It does add up, but I found it to be at least comparable, if not cheaper than some of the other companies (like Kodak, Shutterfly, Snapfish, etc).

They have a lot of templates, but you can easily create your own or manipulate the templates. You can also create PDF’s that look more like scrapbook pages your friend would create and then upload them. I don’t do that, so I can’t comment on how easy it is. They have tutorials and stuff, so it’s pretty easy to learn. And, you can look through some pages of books created by others to get ideas. That’s how I came up with some ideas. You do that by going to their website and going to the bookstore page. They offer the bookstore as a way for you to sell your photobooks to others, including friends and family.
